Popular reality TV star Hawa Hunt has been released from prison today, Tuesday, March 4, 2025, after spending nearly two months in detention.
Her release comes just days after First Lady Fatima Bio publicly appealed for her freedom and distanced herself from her arrest.
The news was also confirmed earlier today by female politician Dr. Sylvia Blyden, who revealed that those responsible for Hunt’s arrest had decided to drop all charges.
“Hawa Hunt will be out of prison TODAY. This is now confirmed to me by those who had taken a decision to arrest her & charge her. All her charges will be dropped,” Dr. Blyden stated.
Hunt had been facing trial on cybercrime-related charges after a video of her allegedly insulting President Julius Maada Bio and First Lady Fatima Bio surfaced online in December 2024.
