The Chief Whip of the All People’s Congress (APC) Party in Kambia District, North West Region, Hon. Abdul Karim Kamara, involved in a serious road accident near Masiaka tollgate while he was on his way from a press conference.
According to the information at hand, the incident occurred a few meters away from the Masiaka Toll gate, while he was returning from a press conference held on the ongoing census and constituency boundary delimitation.
The vehicle in which Abdul Kamara was traveling sustained damage; fortunately, no injuries were recorded. Abdul Kamara and the other occupants of the vehicle emerged unhurt.
Abdul Karim Kamara is the Deputy Chairman of the Youth Affairs Committee in the House of Parliament. He is also a Member of four other Committees, which include Finance, NGO, NaCSA, Primary and Secondary Education, and International Parliamentary Union Committees.
The news of the accident sparked concern among supporters and members of the public, but many have expressed gratitude that no lives were lost.
Authorities have yet to release further details regarding the cause of the accident.
