The Dean of the Faculty of Accounting, Dr. Ezekiel Duramany Lakoh has disclosed that the Institute of Public Administration and Management (IPAM) rejected about 30% of applicants due to space.

These number of applicants were hoping to be part of the Freetown 2021 and 2022 academic years at IPAM, but due to the limited space, the university was unable to accommodate them.

Dr. Lakoh made this disclosure to journalists when the university administration was updating the press about their Bureh Town project with FEMAB.

He stressed on the need for IPAM to have a bigger space, which according to him will not only improve the learning environment of the institution but also give them the edge to offer more courses which can benefit the nation.

The Deputy Registrar of IPAM, Brima Bah also spoke on the strides IPAM has made in relation to the Bure Town Project. He said nothing is being done in secrecy, as the Ministry of Finance is fully involved in their agreement with FEMAB.

IPAM is one of the three constituent colleges of the University of Sierra Leone, together with Fourah Bay College and the College of Medicine and Allied Health Science.

Since its establishment in 1980, IPAM has contributed immensely to the human resource of Sierra Leone by offering different types of Programmes and trained hosts of Sierra Leoneans to hold managerial positions in this country.
