Hon. Joseph Fitzgerald Kamara has paid a courtesy visit to the United Council of Imams in Bo, as part of engagements leading up to the celebration of Eid al-Fitr.
The visit, which took place in the Southern Province, comes at a time when Muslims across Sierra Leone are preparing to mark the successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan. It highlighted a strong message of unity, mutual respect, and continued collaboration between political leaders and religious institutions.
During the engagement, Hon. Kamara acknowledged the pivotal role of the Muslim community in fostering peace, upholding moral values, and strengthening national cohesion. His interaction with the council of imams underscored the importance of maintaining close ties with religious leaders, particularly during significant spiritual periods.
The visit also emphasized a broader commitment to promoting interfaith harmony and supporting the spiritual well-being of citizens.
As communities across the country prepare for Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations, the engagement serves as a reminder of the need for compassion, solidarity, and collective responsibility in building a more inclusive and peaceful society.
