Court of Appeal Judge, Justice Momoh-Jah Stevens has been appointed to lead investigation of suspended Tonkolili Paramount Chief, Alimamy B.Y. Koroma III.

A spokesman for the Ministry of Local Government and Community Affairs told Global Times Newspaper that the Kalansogoia Chiefdom Paramount Chief was suspended on allegations of ‘incitement and breach of ethics and self-regulation’.

The Ministry’s spokesman said the PC Alimamy Koroma was suspended in accordance with the requirements of the Chieftaincy Act of 2009.

PC Alimamy Koroma was suspended on the 7th April this year. Authorities in the chiefdom are expected to appoint a Regent chief in the coming weeks.

Justice Stevens is said to have been appointed by President Julius Maada Bio to look into the matter.
