The Judiciary of Sierra Leone has announced that High Court Criminal Sessions will be held in Koidu Town, Kono District, and Magburaka Town, Tonkolili District, in the Northern Province from February 17 to March 1, 2025.

This initiative aims to enhance access to justice by bringing judges to areas without resident High Court judges, ensuring effective and prompt justice delivery.

The two-week exercise will address cases committed to the High Court by Magistrate Courts, along with fresh files and pending matters in these regions.

Complainants, witnesses, and accused persons involved in cases within these districts are urged to attend court proceedings throughout the sessions, starting promptly at 9:00 AM on February 17, 2025.

Additionally, High Court Criminal Sessions will commence in the District Headquarters of Pujehun and Kambia Districts on February 27, 2025.
