Renowned lawyer and CEO of Kabaka Entertainment, Abu Bakarr Turay, popularly known as Kabaka, has vehemently condemned the brutal murder of Sia Kamara, a communications executive at the Freetown City Council.

According to reports, Kamara was allegedly murdered by her boyfriend after sustaining horrific injuries, including seven broken ribs and a fractured spine. Kabaka, who described the deceased as a “baby sister,” revealed that the accused eventually confessed to the assault after an autopsy confirmed the extent of her injuries.

The entertainment mogul used the platform to address the pervasive issue of domestic violence, calling on society to reject such acts unequivocally. He emphasized that physical abuse is never a solution to relationship problems and urged victims to seek help and leave abusive relationships.

Kabaka highlighted the tragic loss of Kamara, who was on the brink of fulfilling her American dream before her untimely death. He called for justice for the slain communications executive, vowing that her soul will not find peace until the perpetrator is brought to book.

His full post reads;

“Sia Kamara was nothing short of a baby sister to me. Today, her corpse lies in the mortuary with seven broken ribs. The man she was dating eventually admitted to beating her after autopsy revealed his devious acts. I am writing this post because I know many of us have been guilty of losing tempers in the past and have done insane things to partners. But, to beat someone till they eventually die is the most gruesome act. Someone one claims to love should never be a victim of domestic violence.

“Know this, if you ever find yourself always wanting to use force to make a statement in a relationship, you are in the wrong relationship. If your wife or woman always provokes you to the point that you want to beat her, both of you are with the wrong person. I know there have been many fights and genuine calls against domestic violence, many women have countless photos of several instances of battering by their spouses. They suffer in silence. We all have to admit that this should never be acceptable in this day and age. No matter the excuse. If a woman cheats, she is looking for something you don’t have. If a woman disrespects you, it simply means you are not valuable to her. If a woman talks down on you, you should know your place in her life. Walk away. Beating has never and will never solve any relationship problem.

“For you ladies who claim if your guys don’t beat you, it shows they don’t love you, please picture yourself in the mortuary with seven broken ribs. Sia walked away many times but hoped the man she loved will change his ways. It cost her dearly. She got a visa to US and a ticket to travel a day before her death. She never got to see her mum and elder brother Willie Bounce in the States. Never got to see her nephew Gadol again and never will. Normalizing domestic violence in any relationship shows a sick mentality. We have all being enraged and done things we may never be proud of in the past, but this is the height of it. Someone lost her life because a boyfriend did what he always did and got away with it. Not this time.

“You don’t want to imagine what kind of battery would have caused seven broken ribs. The pain. The torture. The torment. The trauma. The countless pleas for help and mercy after constant hits that fell on deaf ears. She could not put up any resistance. Her slender body succumbed. Death the only option. What more sorrow could her family bear? We want justice.

“Her soul won’t rest until justice is served.”
