Kailahun District Field is under the direct management of the Kailahun District Council, which solely oversees its affairs. As a district field, it hosts various soccer, athletics, and other social activities, including divisional and club leagues, school and community athletics, disco dances, and more. These activities often generate revenue for its maintenance and other interventions.

But currently, the field suffers lack of maintenance and care, resulting to the destruction of the gate, fence, and the ugly appearance of the field.

Kailahun field is among other fields that hosted the Leone Rock Premier League 2024, since the district produces Luawa FC, a premiere league team, but due to its lack of necessary facilities such as the artificial turf and many more, it was banned from hosting premier league games. This action raises so many ill-feelings among citizens of the district.

However, Kailahun District Football Association (KaiDFA) has been supportive to ensuring that the keeps to its standards.

Kailahun District Council is yet to answer to the numerous questions raised by the citizens, most especially the youth of Kailahun district.
