On Monday, 14th October 2024, the newly transferred Local Unit Commander (LUC) of the Kambia Police Division, Chief Superintendent Murana Eric Kamara, held a landmark security meeting with the Motor Drivers and General Transport Union in Kambia.

Accompanied by his operations team, the LUC received a warm welcome from drivers and vehicle owners, marking an unprecedented collaboration aimed at improving security and road safety in the district.

Key issues discussed included crime reduction, road safety, monitoring foreign nationals, and curbing illicit drug trafficking. Drivers were encouraged to comply with traffic regulations, license their vehicles, and remain vigilant against human trafficking and other criminal activities.

The meeting also highlighted the pivotal role of Media Officer Claudius Moses Gray in fostering transparency and communication between the police and the public, earning widespread praise from stakeholders.

This initiative signifies a new era of cooperation and trust between the police and the motor drivers, strengthening security efforts across Kambia District.
