Residents in Kambia District together with the Civil Society Movement has called for the immediate government’s intervention into the current situation of the government hospital.

In her statement, Aminata Turay, the District Civil Society Movement Chairperson revealed that, the newly deployed medical supretedent of Kambia Government Hospital Dr. Jalloh completely showed incompetence and unprofessional misconducts during an emergency period in Kambia government hospital that led to the excess bleeding of a seventy ( 70)years old woman.

She furthered that, this has created an alarming situation within communities adding that, the said Doctor Jalloh publicly denied admissions of a seventy (70) years old mother who involved in serious accident on the 10th March, 2024. At 22:30 pm.

In his statement he said “I’m from wealthy family and I have money I can’t render my service according to the government instructions I do what I feel to do” as alleged.

She maintained that, it was due to the above statement by Jalloh that an immediate intervention of the government of Sierra Leone especially the Ministry of Health and Sanitation is needed ASAP.

“The people of Kambia District are in hopeless and have no confidence to refer their patient at Kambia government hospital.

The public are here by requesting an immediate transfer of Dr. Jalloh due to his unprofessional misconducts in Kambia Government Hospital.” She stated.
