The Chairperson of the Trade and Industry Committee, Hon. Veronica K Sesay has said that when the Minister of Trade and Industry Dr. Edward Hinga Sandy is coming up with an agreement to parliament, he should bring along the investors in parliament so that they can listen to the issues which they as members of parliament are raising.

According to Salone Times Newspaper, the MP from Moyamba cited the example of Accord Logistics for which an agreement was passed in parliament for them to take over the state lottery, pointing out that Johnny Kosa who was awarded the contract to partner with Sierra Leone State Lottery Company so that they can uplift the company did not have the US$ 50,000 to partner with the company.

She noted that Johnny Kosa decided to bring along Bet Salone but that the marriage broke up last year and now he is bringing onboard Elephant Bet.

Hon. Sesay stated that Mr. Kosa sacked the board members of Sierra Leone State Lottery Company and the Managing Director of the said company without their salaries and benefits.

According to her, the people whom Kosa sacked brought the matter to the Trade Committee in parliament and the committee has written a letter to summon Kosa of Accord Logistics.

She revealed that after he (Kosa) received the letter from the dispatch man, he tore the letter and threw it at the dispatch man saying that he will not come to Parliament.

The Chairperson informed the Deputy Speaker that both the Public Account Committee and Trade Committee wrote another letter to the said Kosa but that when the dispatch man took the letter to Kosa, he (Kosa) refused to take it.

The Speaker of Parliament said no one is above the law he would set a committee to summon Kosa.

The Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Hon. Segepoh Solomon Thomas said he sent police to arrest Kosa and that after his arrest, he (Deputy Speaker) received so many calls but said that he is going to make the police arrest him (Kosa) again.
