The Kunike Sanda Chiefdom Youth Council, led by Mohamed Samuel Kargbo, has concluded a five-day initiative to distribute shoes to 60 vulnerable individuals within the community.

Beneficiaries included elderly women and men, children, youth, and school-going pupils, reflecting the Council’s commitment to uplifting the lives of those in need.

This distribution, more than just a gesture of providing footwear, serves as a symbol of the Council’s dedication to advocating for a better quality of life for all, regardless of their status in society.

The initiative aligns with the “Give Them Pens Not Penis” project, which promotes equality, trust, and a united effort to combat poverty in Kunike Sanda Chiefdom and beyond.

In a statement, the Council emphasized that no act of kindness is too small and urged individuals and leaders to contribute in any way possible to support the needy. “A community thrives when everyone is treated as equal and receives support without bias based on political affiliation, tribe, religion, or gender,” the Council noted.

The Youth Council aims to extend this project to reach 300 individuals, calling on Sierra Leoneans to unite behind this cause to bring sustainable change to their communities.
