Ibrahim Mohamed Kalokoh a 31-year-old herbalist has been sent on remand at the Male Correctional Center in Freetown on Monday 29th May 2023 by Magistrate Mark Ngegba of Pademba Road Court No.1.
The accused was remanded over the alleged Killing of Kabba Santigic Bangura, who was until his death a lecturer at Fourah Bay College University of Sierra Leone.
The accused, Ibrahim M. Kalokoh made his first appearance in court before Magistrate Marke Ngegba and is standing trial on one count charge of murder contrary to law.
According to the charge sheet, it was alleged that the accused on Monday 6th March 2023, in the Waterloo head quarter judicial district in the Western Area Rural murdered Kabba Santigie Bangura.
When the charge was read to him, no plea was taken and there was no legal representation was made on behalf of the accused.
The wife of the deceased, Rosaline Ys-Alimany Bangura burst into tears when she was asked to take the witness stand and was not emotionally stable to testify.
Magistrate Marke Ngegba has adjourned the matter to 5th June 2023 for further hearing whiles the accused was remanded in prison.
Police Inspector, Kadic M. Taylor is prosecuting the matter with lawyer Randy Bangura Esq. associating with the prosecution.
