On Friday, May 5th, 2023, lightning reportedly killed Kadiatu Bendu in Madina Worreh Grass Field Tombo.

According to reports She and her elder brother Mustapha Demby were sitting under a tree near their house when it started raining around 2:30 pm.

The report furthered that the thunder grew more intense, and sudden lightning struck Kadiatu, causing panic among those present, who quickly ran indoors for shelter.

The incident was reported to the Sierra Leone police.
