Pastor Melvin James belonging to the Church of Salvation Kono branch is alleged to have broken into the said church at night and carted away the church properties worth millions of Leones.
According to reliable information, prior to the said act, similar menace have been happening in the church by unknown individuals and as a consequence of this, the congregation and members of the aforementioned church at one point in time including pastor Melvin James declared prayers against those stealing from the church.
The source advanced that at least four days after the prayers against the reported act in the church; Pastor James ran out of luck and was caught hiding with some of the church property he stole. Meanwhile, after the robbery, whilst taking to his heels, the reliable information pointed out that pastor Melvin James told his landlord that he was bereaved at his village and that the landlord should not tell his senior pastors and church members that he was traveling there.
It could be recalled that Melvin James was a prisoner and after running his sentence haven allegedly reformed he then reportedly became a pastor working for the aforementioned church until he allegedly broke into the church at night and carted away properties belonging to the church worth millions of Leones.
The leadership of the church in Kono District has refused to talk about the issue owing to undisclosed reasons. The pastor in question is still on the run.
What a shame to this pastor!! He stoop so low of being a thief after all the goodies he received from the church members.
