A 42-year-old man identified as Foday Samking was discovered dead three miles off from the Tikonko village on Thursday 2nd February 2023.

According to the Information Officer, Bo West Division, PC: 19138 Aosman Mansaray, they got the report from the Paramount Chief Member of Parliament Professor Kangbai Macavoray in the Tikonko chiefdom, Bo district.

The Regional Criminal Investigation Department (CID), the Soco South, Media, and the family members visited the scene where the remains were discovered.

Michael Amara a resident of Tikonko and a relative to the deceased who assisted the police with the investigation confirmed that Foday Samking (deceased) was suffering from Tuberculosis but was undergoing treatment at the Tikonko community health center.

According to Michael Amara, the deceased was warned against the intake of alcohol and smoking cigarettes since he suffered from T.B. sickness but he was still in the habit before his demise.

He said, “Myself, the deceased, and other colleague youths went to brush for one Mr. Kamara Yajah, and after work, Foday (deceased) said he was going to tap palm wine at Fullawahun garden, only to hear about him being dead.”

After the physical examination was the same done by the CHO medical officer, and the body of thethe disease was handed over to the family members for burial.

The Police assured the people of Tikonko’s Chiefdom of the speeding Investigation and considered the case as death by misadventure.
