One Amara Kargbo is said to be on the run after stabbing his friend Amadu Kamara at a stream in Kamakwie over a kush brawl, relatives of the victim confirmed on Friday.
He was stabbed last Thursday and was immediately taken to an herbalist for treatment whilst some of his relatives had stormed the premises of the culprits who has since been on the run.
According to the victim who is at the moment responding to treatment from a herbalist in a nearby village in Kamakwie in Karene District, Northern Sierra Leone, he had mistakenly laundered his friend’s trousers with soe kush being in one of the pockets while they were at the stream and his friend upon realizing that his kush was being washed together with his trousers confronted his friend angrily demanding for his destroyed kush and eventually stabbed him after he burst into laughter when he was being asked.
Amadu says he will be reporting his friend Amara at the Kamakwie Police Station when he recovers fully from the wound on his back.
According to Momentum Newspaper, this latest occurrence is a replica of the many accidents kush has caused on the lives of a number of persons in some parts of the northern province and by extension other cities, towns and villages nationwide which now calls for robust action to be taking against the wide spread of harmful drugs in the country.
