The International Organization for Migration (IOM) Sierra Leone in collaboration with the national and local partners handed over the rehabilitated Beidu Border Post in Kailahun District, Eastern Sierra Leone.
The handing over ceremony was done to the government of Sierra Leone in a bid to serve as an aid for the people of the Eastern Regional especially, Kailahun.
The route for the transportation of goods and services and to also help protect and maintain a sustainable security system in the area at all times.
The rehabilitation of the building was to serve as a means of strengthening the management capacities and immigration, capacitate health authorities to manage border health at Point of Entry (POE) and punitive the realities of human mobility.
It must be noted that the activity was supported with funding from UNMPTF.
