On Sunday, 2nd February 2025, the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Affairs, the National Tourist Board, and Leone Diamond Entertainment hosted the vibrant Dance for Health event at the Gigibonta Car Park.
The event aimed to promote wellness and culture, drawing a diverse crowd of Sierra Leoneans and visitors.
In a brief statement, Minister Nabeela Farida Tunis highlighted the Dance for Health initiative as both a celebration of cultural heritage and a means to improve physical well-being.
She further added that the event is a key component of the 2025 Year of Ecotourism focus. The Ministry appreciates the support extended by Grafton, the Sierra Leone Gymnasts, and Isata Sawi, CEO of Leone Diamond Entertainment.
Throughout the event, participants engaged in energetic dance sessions, invigorating exercises, acrobatic displays, and friendly competitions, reinforcing the powerful link between culture and wellness.
The event concluded with prizes awarded to the winners of the various competitions held during the Dance for Health initiative.
