The National Youth Commission (NAYCOM) has reaffirmed its commitment to youth empowerment following a courtesy visit from the National Youth Sector Caucus (NYSC), a network of professionals dedicated to youth development across Sierra Leone.
The meeting, held at NAYCOM’s headquarters, was led by Commissioner Joseph Maada Lahai, who assured the delegation of the Commission’s readiness to collaborate on initiatives that will create greater opportunities for young people nationwide.
Speaking on behalf of the Caucus, Chairman Musa Khalil Koroma congratulated Commissioner Lahai on his recent appointment, describing him as a long-standing advocate for youth advancement. He expressed optimism that the renewed collaboration would accelerate progress in areas such as employment, education, and leadership development.

Other members of the NYSC delegation, including Mohamed Bundu Koroma, Abraham Bah, Madam Ayesha Sankoh, and Abubakarr Bangura, also extended their congratulations. They underscored the need for inclusive youth policies that address the concerns of marginalized groups, particularly persons with disabilities.
Both institutions emphasized that the engagement marks the beginning of a strengthened partnership aimed at ensuring that every young Sierra Leonean has access to meaningful opportunities to thrive.
