One of the oldest schools in Port Loko District, A.M.E. Primary School – Mange Bureh is in dilapidated condition with tattered roofs and structures.

According to the school authorities, the school’s structure isn’t a convenient place for learning anymore, adding that some parents have taken their children to other schools with the impulse that the school structure is potentially a deathtrap.

“Sadly, at anytime it rains , teachers will release their pupils to go home considering the deplorable state of the structure’s roof,” they stated.

The school authorities further called on the government and humanitarians to step in and help fix the school’s structure and ensure the safety of the pupils as well.
