The father of Patrick Kamara, a child found dead at the Pentecostal Primary School, is demanding a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding his son’s death. He believes this is necessary to bring peace to himself and other affected parents.

Speaking with grief and frustration, the father stated that the matter, including the ongoing investigation, appears to involve negligence. He expressed his sorrow over the handling of his son’s case.

“This thing that happened, we want justice for our children,” he declared during his statement.

The father called upon key figures, including the Ministry of Gender and Children’s Affairs, the First Lady, the Mayor of Freetown, and President Bio, to intervene. He emphasized the importance of protecting children, stating, “If President Bio was not protected when he was a child, he would not have become president.”

Recounting the tragic day, he said, “I left my son to go to school, and I went to work, but he did not make it back home.”

He expressed concerns about potential interference in the investigation, noting, “They want to use influence in this matter. It is because I’m not politically influential or connected that they are treating this issue with negligence. If I do not get justice for my son, I know God will give justice.”

He further stated, “The truth has been molded, and injustice has taken place.”

The father also raised concerns about the impartiality of the investigation, alleging that individuals involved are members of the same church as Dr. Ollie, a prominent figure within the church. “I have learned that the people who are doing the investigation are members of the church. Dr. Ollie is a higher personality in the church. Does that mean justice will not prevail?” he questioned.

He also described difficulties in seeing his son’s body. “I was not allowed to see my son’s body in the mortuary, and I fought when I tried to. I slept outside the mortuary to see my son’s body, and in the morning, I was still not allowed,” he recounted. “I have pain for my son.”

The grieving father appealed to the media to help amplify his message and ensure it reaches the relevant authorities.
