Two people have reportedly died in a fuel tanker accident at Bamoi Luma to Rukupr Highway, Kambia District, North-West Region of Sierra Leone.
This revelation is made in a video circulated on social media.
It is reported that the fuel tanker got an accident around the curve from Bamoi luma to Rokupr Highway and crashed at a nearby home.
An eye witness narrated that the tire of the tanker burst, leading it to crash at a nearby home. He added the fuel that was spilling out from the tanker led to an explosion that burnt down the home and the driver on board.
The eye witness however noted that neighboring houses did not catch fire due to the timely intervention of the community people.
The current Regent Chief of Munu Thala Chiefdom told local reporters that there were three people in the tanker – the driver, the apprentice, and a woman that boarded the vehicle from Bamoi Luma to Rokupr.
