The Local Unit Commander of the Mano River Division, Chief Superintendent of Police Philip Albert Kpange, has been commended for his exceptional leadership in ensuring certified security during the Traders Union Election held at the Jendema Conference Hall, Sorogbema Chiefdom, Pujehun District.
The election, conducted on Thursday, January 9, 2025, featured two candidates vying for the position of Chairman: Philip Lumeh and Bockarie Dabeni, both from Jendema.
Other executive positions were uncontested, with the majority of votes favoring Philip Lumeh. Fanima Kemokai emerged as the Chair Lady of the Traders Union in Jendema.
Philip Lumeh won the Chairmanship with a decisive 225 votes, while Bockarie Dabeni garnered only 25 votes, failing to meet the basic criteria required for the position.
