The Sierra Leone Police (SLP) have announced the arrest of a suspected armed robber following a targeted midnight operation in Bo.
According to police sources, the operation, carried out by officers attached to the Bo-East Division, took place at around 12:30 a.m. on Friday, September 12, 2025. The suspect, identified as Chernor Jalloh and popularly known as “Preso,” was apprehended at 24 Katta Street, New York Section, Bo. He was reportedly found in possession of a shotgun at the time of his arrest.
Investigators describe Jalloh as a notorious figure who has been on their watchlist for some time due to alleged involvement in armed robbery incidents in the area. He is currently in police custody, assisting with ongoing investigations.
The SLP emphasized that the arrest forms part of its broader strategy to tackle violent crime and enhance community safety in Bo and other parts of the country.
Police authorities have urged residents to continue supporting law enforcement by providing timely information that could help in preventing crime and apprehending offenders.
