Edward Sesay, who claimed he is a student of Fourah Bay College (FBC), university of Sierra Leone was remanded after he made his first appearance before Magistrate Isata Sellu Tucker at the Pademba Road Court No. 3 on allegation of obtaining money by false pretense.
Awoko reports that the accused is charged on two separate files of conspiracy to commit a felony and obtaining money by false pretenses contrary to the laws of Sierra Leone.
On both files, the accused Edward Sesay sometime in August 2021, at Saint Joseph Convent School, Syke Street, Freetown, obtained the sum of two million five hundred thousand Leones from Zainab Bockarie on the pretext that he will facilitate the admission of Isatu Kamara at Saint Joseph Convent School, knowing the same to be false.
On the other file the accused on the 10th August 2021 at the same school obtained there million Leones from Chief Joko Sandy on the pretext that he will facilitate the admission of Victoria Sandy into Saint Joseph Convent School which is known to be false.
Sesay was not represented by a lawyer, but the matter is being prosecuted by Inspector Francis Macauley.
