Police in Sierra Leone have arrested a gang of robbers who specialize in carrying out criminal activities on unsuspecting passengers around the Waterloo area of the Western Area Rural District.
The gang was arrested while attempting to rob one Umaru Bangura of rokel, a huge amount of money he was carrying.
According to Waterloo Operations Division of the Sierra Leone police, the gang was led by one Osman Amara, 26, a commercial taxi driver on the Freetown-Waterloo road.
Amara was arrested along with three other suspects who covered their faces with masks and hijabs.
It was learnt that the gang organize their mystery robberies by targeting unsuspecting passengers who board the taxi. The car has now been impounded and the suspects are not helping the police with investigation.
