Under the direction of Regional Police Commander South, officers in Bo have made a significant stride in upholding peace and order by apprehending an alleged notorious armed robber.

Identified as Andrew Bangalie, also known as ‘ Thug Money’, the suspect was taken into custody on Monday, 11th December 2023.

Despite multiple invitations from Detective Police officers at the Regional Criminal Investigation Department, Bangalie, a former resident of Kailahun, had failed to respond to allegations against him.

The arrest was executed by Detective Inspector Tommy Ganda and his team from the Scientific Support Unit, Bo East (CYBER), following a thorough pursuit based on gathered intelligence.

Applauding the team’s efforts, AIG Kanneh highlighted the collaborative work involving witness interviews and surveillance footage analysis that led to the identification and subsequent arrest of Andrew Bangalie.

The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities urge anyone with pertinent information regarding the suspect to contact Regional Commander South, Brima Kanneh, or the Regional CID office in Bo City.
