Chief-Inspector Agnes Fefegula, head of the Traffic Department at the Sierra Leone Police, Kabala Divisional Headquarters, led a mass sensitization campaign in Kabala township today.

The campaign targeted commercial motor drivers and riders at various motor parks, educating them on the dangers of consuming substances like kush, which impair driving safety.

Chief-Inspector Fefegula emphasized that road safety is paramount and cannot be achieved when drivers or riders use substances that cause dizziness and sleepiness.

She also encouraged them to regularize their professional documents and warned against using inscriptions as makeshift registration plates on commercial motorbikes.

She stressed the importance of legal registration through the Sierra Leone Road Safety Authority, which helps generate revenue for road maintenance and improvements by the government.

This initiative aims to promote safer driving practices and enhance community well-being in Kabala.
