Police in Waterloo have arrested a fake military officer at Tombo fishing village, Western Rural District.

Police have identified the imposter as Obai Fofanah who is popularly known at the village as Corporal Obai.

“The LUC of Waterloo Division, CSP Ibrahim M. Sama, in a covert operation that lasted for over six hours, has arrested Obai Fofanah of Tombo for impersonating as a member of the Republic of Sierra Leone Armed Forces (RSLAF),” the Police said.

Waterloo Police said the imposter is notorious for disturbing residents in the village.

Tombo village is a sprawling fishing village located outside Waterloo.

The village is relatively peaceful but recent surge in crime rate in the greater Waterloo Town have left some of the local population in awe.
