On September 11, 2024, the Sierra Leone Police (SLP) held a consultation with personnel from the Freetown-East region at Ross Road Police Station to gather input for the development of the Strategic Development Plan (SDP) 2025-2029.

Led by the Corporate Affairs Strategic Development Plan Committee, the session focused on creating a roadmap that addresses both organizational goals and personnel needs.

AIG Sylvester M.N. Koroma encouraged contributions to improve working conditions, while ACP Ismail Keita outlined the key goals for the new SDP: public safety, community policing, transparency, technology, and personnel conditions.

Personnel were urged to submit suggestions for inclusion.

ACP Francis Meinday thanked the team for their engagement, highlighting its importance as the SLP moves towards community-oriented policing. The feedback will shape the SLP’s future strategic direction.
