The Kingtom Police Hospital has received a new shipment of medical supplies for the first quarter of January 2025. This marks a milestone in improving health and medical care for law enforcement personnel.
The initiative reflects the commitment of the Inspector General of Police, Mr. William Fayia Sellu, to prioritize the well-being of police officers. Under his leadership, the Sierra Leone Police (SLP) is taking concrete steps to ensure that officers have access to the necessary medical support to maintain their physical and mental health.
Assistant Superintendent Dr. John Mumuneh Konteh, speaking on the development, emphasized that the delivery is part of a comprehensive plan to boost the hospital’s capacity to meet the healthcare needs of the police force. “This initiative is crucial for maintaining the well-being of our officers, enabling them to serve the community more effectively,” Dr. Konteh ststated
The delivery process, overseen by stock verifiers and the SLP pharmacy, has been carried out with a focus on transparency. Dr. Konteh assured that all medicines are safe and unexpired, affirming the hospital’s commitment to providing high-quality medical care.
Looking to the future, Dr. Konteh revealed plans for additional medical consignments to further enhance the healthcare infrastructure.
These efforts will extend beyond the Western area of Freetown to all police health facilities nationwide, aiming to create a healthier work environment for officers across the country.
As the Kingtom Police Hospital continues to upgrade its medical capabilities, police personnel can expect improved access to healthcare services.
This advancement not only benefits the officers but also strengthens the communities they serve, fostering a more responsive and effective police force.
