The Deputy Head Sierra Leone Police Media, ASP Mohamed Bobson Senu, has provided lastest updates on the issues surrounding the alleged drug lord, Jos Leijdekkers amidst the growing concerns regarding his presence in the country.
Leijdekkers, also known as “Bolle Jos,” has been reportedly hiding out in Sierra Leone since early 2023. He was sentenced in absentia to 24 years for drug trafficking, armed robbery, and ordered murder in the Netherlands, and an additional 10 years in Belgium. Dutch prosecutors are working with Sierra Leonean authorities to facilitate his capture, offering a €200,000 reward for his arrest.
In relations to that, ASP Bobson Senu has confirmed that the investigation has been in progress, and further described the process as a joint investigation with diplomatic procedures. He asserted that the issue is now handled by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
Whatsoever help they need from the police, he promised that they would make their service available at anytime and anywhere. He stressed, “we will intervene into some of those issues that warrant the police to do.” He reiterated that much of the work regarding the issue is been carried out by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
The ASP argued that the investigation is not as easy as something which can be executed and completed over a short period of time, stressing that it is a gradual process. He further affirmed, “it requires international cooperation and therefore it takes a time to ensure that all what we need to ensure and ascertain the fact that this is the information we will come up with.”
The ASP further reaffirmed that they are considering that trend because the process is a joint investigation. “When we talk of joint investigation, we have a central or vocal person to inform as to when and how far the investigation has gone. That can be done by no less a person but the Minister of Information and Civic Education, Chenor Bah, base on all the facts relating to the investigation,” he concluded.
Hmmm oooo salon it’s well
Una continue for lie pan we. The minister is the only one allowed to talk because the cocaine government of Maada Cocaine Bio wants to sell us a story. They are protecting a drug fugitive, but time will run out. You can’t delay too long. It doesn’t take six months for the AG to read through an extradition treaty. They will need to come up with better lies.
On the other hand, he pregnated a daughter of the first family, which is President Bio’s daughter. Again government is working harder to hand him over to the Dutch government. Hmmm ooo Salone so so confusion. Ar tire sef.
Wuna try pull this guy na ya?
Na investor with clean record we want, no to fugitive we want as investor at all!
We need adeybayo simple
Government to Government Adabayoh should come to Sierra Leone,
The Netherlands will continue to keep Sierra Leone ‘s worst terrorist, many efforts applied to extradite him according to the foreign minister have failed. We look to see how Sierra Leone could be a puppet nation to the European ,as it has always been.
To understand it better, you’re implying that investigating crime matters of that nature is now been relegated to the ministry of foreign affairs & that it’s the most difficult tast to handle? Just being curious that’s all.
Why are u people celebrating bad news, you don’t want to hear or see anything good for this country all in the name of politics. We don’t care about drug or no drug as a matter of fact dats d least thing we the people of SL living in SL think about,we have better things to think of,it is only u living in the diaspora who are so curious about the so call drug lord, mind u there is extradition treaty b2 SL and Holland so we care less about Jos if they want him let sign a treaty with us so we can exchange him for mr mammy cuss.
Sorry I made a mistake by saying there is extradition treaty, the right word is there is no extradition treaty b2 SL and Holland
