The Sierra Leone Police, after conducting an extensive investigation, have officially responded to the tragic deaths of two young children following a distressing incident that unfolded on Tuesday, 18th March, 2025, at the National Pentecostal Primary School.

On the afternoon of March 18th, according to the official report from the police, concerned parents, Kadiatu Koroma, Aminata Sesay, and Mariatu Kanu reported their children missing to the Family Support Unit at the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).

The three missing children were identified as Abdul Aziz Yusuf Kamara, three years old, Patrick Hassan Kamara, two years old, and Adama Sarah Sesay, three years old, noting that they were last seen in the vicinity of the school between 12:00 and 1:00 p.m.

Later that evening, around 11:00 p.m., the report stated that the bodies of Abdul and Patrick were discovered inside a faulty black Toyota Sport Edition vehicle with the registration number AJA-671, which was parked within the compound of the National Pentecostal Primary School.

Reportedly, Adama Sarah Sesay was found alive and was promptly taken to receive necessary medical treatment, confirming that she has since been reunited with her family.

In accordance with standard procedures, the Sierra Leone Police explained that a post-mortem examination was conducted on Friday, 20th March, 2025, and that the results confirmed that both Abdul and Patrick died from suffocation, and there were no indications of physical assault or injury.

The Sierra Leone Police have reportedly launched a full-scale investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident to ascertain all relevant facts. In their official statement, the police emphasized their commitment to conducting a thorough and impartial inquiry to ensure that justice is served while maintaining public trust and confidence.
