The Pujehun District Council has provided the Clean Pujehun Agency (CPA) with an array of cleaning equipment. This initiative aims to ensure a cleaner and healthier environment within the township of Pujehun.

On Friday, 22nd September 2023, representatives from the Pujehun District Council handed over the cleaning equipment to CPA, marking a pivotal moment in the ongoing efforts to enhance sanitation and hygiene practices in the township.

Speaking during the handing-over ceremony, the Public Relations Officer of CPA, Alhaji Magba Kamara expressed his gratitude for the support received from the Pujehun District Council. He emphasized the importance of the donated equipment, highlighting its potential to significantly bolster the agency’s cleaning endeavors.

The generous donation by the Pujehun District Council includes 10 shovels, 3 wheelbarrows, 2 pickaxes, 9 pairs of gloves, 9 helmets, 4 head pans, and 6 rakes. These essential tools are expected to empower the CPA in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the district, further elevating the living standards of the community.

Kamara took the opportunity to call upon all stakeholders within Pujehun District to unite and provide their unwavering support to CPA. He underscored that a collective effort is indispensable in achieving a cleaner and less polluted Pujehun District. Moreover, he stressed the crucial link between a clean environment and good health.

The equipment donation from the District Council is seen as a significant stride towards enhancing sanitation and hygiene standards within the district. CPA’s PRO expressed optimism, asserting that with continued support from both the council and community stakeholders, they will continue to make substantial progress in its mission to create a cleaner, healthier, and more vibrant district.

Chairman of the Pujehun District Council, Foday Kandeh Rogers, applauded the unwavering dedication of the Agency in maintaining the cleanliness of the township. He reaffirmed the council’s commitment to supporting the agency, ensuring their effectiveness in carrying out their essential cleaning duties, not only within the township but throughout the entire district. Chairman Rogers highlighted the pivotal role the agency plays in enhancing the quality of life for all residents of the District.
