A report on Sunday, June 22nd 2025, stated that a pupil from the Sierra Leone Muslim Brotherhood S.S.S 1, Ibrahim I. Bangura commonly called Super, drowned at the Aberdeen Beach.

The report disclosed that Ibrahim, together with his colleagues, had jogged from Dwarzark Junction to Aberdeen Beach around 7:30 AM, after spending about 30 minutes on their way. Upon their arrival at the beach, the boys engaged in football until around 10 AM when they decided to leave.

The report further stated that while they were preparing to leave the beach, Ibrahim went into the water to wash his feet and the sand beneath him gave way believed to be quicksand and he began to drown.

Eyewitnesses stated that while on the process of drowning, Ibrahim raised his hand for help. Unfortunately for him he couldn’t get the help he sought for as the person who went to rescue him was seen struggling in the water and had to retreat.

His corpse is yet to be discovered as search is ongoing.
