The Right to Access Information Commission (RAIC) has announced an extension for the submission of the Annual Compliance Report (ACR) and Proactive Disclosure of Information (PDI) scheme by all Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) and State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs).

The new deadline is Monday, 16 February 2026, moved from the original date of 22 January 2026.

The Commission granted the extension following numerous formal requests from public authorities engaged in the compliance process, seeking additional time to complete their submissions. RAIC expressed appreciation for institutions that met the initial deadline, commending their commitment to transparency and accountability.

Since 2025, compliance with the ACR, PDI, and the Access to Information (ATI) framework has been incorporated by State House as a performance tracking indicator for all MDAs and SOEs. RAIC emphasized that non-compliance will be reported to State House, making timely submission both a legal and administrative obligation.

All MDAs and SOEs are strongly urged to submit their reports before the extended deadline to ensure full compliance. For clarifications or technical assistance, institutions can visit RAIC at 58 Kroo Town Road, Freetown, or contact the Commission via 088 283 632, 078 342 501, or 078 407 847.
