The Rise Charity Foundation has secured the release of one Ali Sesay who was serving time at the Male Correctional Centre on Pademba Road in Freetown.
Sesay was in prison after failing to pay a levied on him by the court.
“With the support of Rise Charity Foundation and the financial backing from Williams (Hasim), Ali’s court fine was settled, ultimately leading to a successful release,” the Charity stated.
The Foundation said that they acted on “compassion” for the inmate which inspired them to secure the release of the young man.
“This landmark event underscores the foundation’s commitment to advocating for the rights and rehabilitation of individuals behind bars,” the Foundation said.
According to the Foundation, the release of Sesay was made possible through the generous support of Hasim Williams.
The Foundation’s aim is to ensure that Sesay is fully reintegrated into society with the aim of providing him with a chance for a productive life after time at Pademba Road. after his release, is expected to be reintegrated into society.
They rallied the support of other philanthropists to aid through donations and volunteerism with the aim of creating “lasting impacts on the lives of many”.
