The Freetown West Regional Commander AIG Silvester Koroma has reported another attack by armed robbers in Freetown. According to the police a Sierra Leonean man by the name of Peter Renner was robbed at his resident and his two legs shot during the robbing.

Speaking to the media at the usual press briefing at the Sierra Leone Police Headquarters on George Street in Freetown, Mr. Koroma said that on May 16 2023, the Congo Cross Police Station was notified of an attack by robbers at Peter Renner’s resident and he was shot in his legs.

Mr. Renner is said to have obtained a wound in both legs and his IPhone 13, a digital camera and other valuable items worth millions of Leones was carted away.

AIG Koroma said that the Sierra leone Police personnel reacted towards the complaint immediately by proceeding to the crime scene.

He revealed that Mr. Renner is admitted to the hospital, but the whereabouts of the robbers has not been disclosed yet as the matter is under active investigation.
