Magistrate Hadiru Daboh has sentenced Ormsby Cole, a G4 Security Guard to two years six months imprisonment for stealing eight foreign extra bottles of stout valued at one hundred and sixty thousand Leones, being property of Sierra Leone Brewery Limited Company on the 23rd January, 2023 .

The accused pleaded guilty when the case was read to him.

Plea-in-mitigation by the defence counsel J.A.M.M Amara –Esq. disclosed that the accused is a sierra Leonean who lives in the Nation’s Capital-Freetown and working with the group 4 security company.

Before delivering his sentence, Magistrate Daboh maintained that the accused was primarily employed by G4 Security Company with a major role to secure the lives and properties of brewery limited, yet he became their own thief.

‘’Such people should not be pardoned with caution and discharge,’’ he noted.

He ordered that the exhibits be restituted to the brewery company.

The matter was prosecuted by S.I.M.M George Esq. and the accused was defended by J.A.M.M Amara Esq.
