A man accused of killing someone in Guinea and stealing a luxury car has been caught in Freetown by the Sierra Leone Police.

Musa Jalloh, who police say fled Guinea after a deadly robbery on April 12, was arrested over the weekend. He was tracked down with help from the INTERPOL National Central Bureau in Freetown after a tip came through the I24/7 alert system.

Officers from the Counter-Terrorism and Cyber Units worked with INTERPOL to monitor Jalloh’s movements. He was picked up without incident. The stolen 2024 Toyota Range Rover has also been recovered.

Detective Chief Superintendent Jenevieve Tity Cowan, who leads INTERPOL in Sierra Leone, said teamwork across units helped bring the suspect in quickly.

Jalloh is being held in Freetown and is expected to be handed over to authorities in Guinea.

The head of the Guinean Police has thanked the Sierra Leone Police for their fast action and cooperation.
