Sierraloaded has learnt that the third sets of Muslims in Sierra Leone who are supposed to perform hajj ( Muslims pilgrimage to Mecca) in two days from now are still stranded at Lungi.
According to confirm source, these pilgrims have paid their monies and have done all necessary processes to be flown to Mecca and fulfill one of the strongest Pillars of their belief which is HAJJ, but have not being able to leave the country till now.
From the comment of one of these pilgrims, the Sierra Leone Hajj Authorities, for reasons best known to them, have not facilitated for their departure to the holy lands of Makkah.
“nothing has been done, we are still here, the deputy minister just arrived this morning and told us that the plane will be coming to collect the pilgrims by 1:00 “ A relative of one of the pilgrims said.
According to anther source, this has been happening for four days now, the Minister and Deputy will come and tell them that they will leave soon but at the end of the day nothing will happen.
“the worst part is, these pilgrims are no longer in the Lungi Airport as they have been transferred to an Orphanage where they are presently waiting for their flight.” He added.
This is sad, these people aught to have been there by now and resting to prepare for Thursday which is the big day. Other African country’s pilgrims including our neighbors (Guinea) have all reached Mecca weeks ago.
