Former Inspector General of Police, Ambrose Sovula has justified the reason for his visit to the United States.

His clarification came after reports on social media yesterday that he has fled the country.

In an interview with the press, Sovula said that he is in Maryland, United States for medical check up.

“People are crazy. “I am here presently for medical check up,” the former Police Inspector General reacted.

He said that he is still a major stakeholder in the country and is ready to offer his service whenever he’s called upon.

He said people always politicised things and admonished them to refrain from such.

He said that he informed those close to him the reason for his visit in the US.

“I don’t travel clandestinely,” he said.

He added that the accusations are funny and fallacious. He ended that the false news has just made him more popular than before.
