Standard-Times Newspaper has written a letter to President Bio over an alleged Re-Use of Unprinted Language by the Financial Secretary Sahr Jusu Against the Media Institution.
Standard Times wrote:
We want to first commend your office for the strides in improving the media landscape and also ensuring that the media operate in a conducive atmosphere, through objective and impartial reporting in the country.
Your Excellency Sir, whilst all these developments are ongoing according to your 2018 Manifesto, some top officials within your government are still bent on destroying these gains made in the history of this country.
One of these personalities is the Current Financial Secretary in the Ministry of Finance, Sahr Jusu.
Your Excellency Sir, on Saturday, 1st April 2023, we received a call from a senior colleague from another media outlet requesting the contact number of the Editor as Sahr Jusu wants to talk to him, this was about 8;30Pm.
At 9 50 Pm, the call came in and there was Sahr Jusu, the Financial Secretary using unprinted languaglanguaget the Editor and team.
We then called the ice to informeinformaphic the Designer that the number you gave out to our colleague has been disused by Sahr Jusu.
We then made a return call and he requested that we must record all the conversation and take it to whosoever we think of as nothing will come out of it.
The following morning, Palm Sunday, Sahr Jusu used an Africell number to rain unprinted languages and “ MAMMY CURSE” at the Editor and Team.
Your Excellency Sir, Standard-Times views this as not only an attack on the media but a gross violation of our dignity and rights.
With these, we are kindly appealing to your office for a speedy investigation into this matter to others from using this “ MAMMY CURSE” path.
