The Vice President, Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh has revealed that Turkish company Summa Group is to construct a new financial city in Lungi.
The Vice President said the construction of the Freetown International airport by the company is the first phase of the project. He added that the company will construct a Five-Star Hotel with an international conference centre and a shopping mall.
Vice President Jalloh said that the airport and administrative buildings are pre-feasibility stages of the Lungi bridge which will mark the transformation of the town into a new financial city.
He said the entire development project is part of the Public Private Partnership (PPP) strategy devised by the government to address the needs of citizens with regards energy, transportation and trade.
The Minister of Transport and Aviation, Kabineh Kallon said that his ministry is committed to playing their part in transforming the country into a competitive touristic destination that is safe, reliable and efficient.

My reason why, ? I voted for this government, is because of Lungi Bridge 🌉 project and I am waiting for that project to become a reality then I will be glad for that…
I think what the president should do is to bring in the Chinese to manage the Tormabum rice fields. I remember how the Chinese managed the Magbas sugar plantations. The Chinese are one of the exporters of rice to Sierra Leone. If he can go through the right channels, I am sure they will come. Those who were handling the project at Tormabum have failed us . This way the cost of our staple food will go down .
The masses are starving instead the gov. Act like they are not hearing the cry of the people…fix the starvation in the country instead of the new city….we plead sir….we nor glady😟🙏

Thank you very much Juldeh jalloh , we as a sierra Leonia we all need a good facilities towards our country, because we are not doing this for us only but for the future benefit,and I think (ppp) are doing or making a good decision towards the nation of our country, sierra leone is a very unique and beautiful country please mr VP we all know that it is not easy to bring short project in our country the country owe you a lot .am asking for your pardomness if I hurt any one.

If this happens indeed our country will catch up with other Africa nation. My own advice to the government this will happen provided if the Centra government paid for whole land scape in that community from the local people for the purpose of this financial city in sierra Leone .
