On September 24, 2024, officers at the Wanjama Police Checkpoint apprehended three individuals for alleged possession of illegal drugs.

The arrests followed a routine vehicle inspection at the checkpoint, where officers stopped a vehicle with the license plate ALI 888.

Upon conducting a thorough search of the vehicle, law enforcement discovered illegal substances, prompting the immediate arrest of the occupants.

The suspects have been identified as Mariama Sesay, a resident of RTI; Mariama Kamara from Shegbwema; and Shiaka Momoh of Mbambao Village.

Authorities have confirmed that the suspects are currently assisting with ongoing investigations as they work to determine the full extent of the offense.
