The Regional Criminal Investigation Department (CID) South, is currently investigating three male suspects; John Jabaty, Alhaji Mohamed Sheku Marrah, and Mathew Ahmed Sengova for an alleged aluminium cable theft and damage along Ngalu Road in Bo.
According to reports from the Information Officer, Bo West Division, on Tuesday 31st January 2023, Police received intelligence from one Mr. Abu Bakarr Sidikie, a full-time employee of SINOTECH Electrical Company which is a subcontracted company to the Electricity Distribution and Supply Authority (EDSA), alleged that three (3) of the company’s casual staff got involved in a cable theft.
Me Abdulai stated that he was also helped by two (2) young schoolboys who were patiently observing and were at the same time video recording and taking snapshots of the suspects’ activities after they were saw the damaged aluminum cable connections where it was finally kept.
“When these two (2) school boys gave me such an information, I thought they were kidding but I thereafter proved them right when they took me to the point where the cables were kept by the above mentioned suspects. I wasted no time in alerting the Police,” he said.
Furthermore, the dynamic and prolific Regional Police Commander South, AIG Harold A.M.C Hanciles, on setting eyes on the three (3) young men classed as thieves, instructed for an immediate and expeditious investigation into the matter whilst the suspects remain in custody and helping the Police with the required information and the approximately 65 yards cables being treated as exhibit.
These kind of men are been considered enemies to the development of the country.
The Regional Police Commander South has however assured the general public that the investigation will be speedily done and upon conclusion, it will be charged to court as this will serve as a deterrent to others of their kind.
