The Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Affairs launched a Cultural Heritage Club at Annie Walsh Memorial School in Freetown to celebrate the International Day of the Girl Child.
The initiative aims to promote Sierra Leone’s cultural heritage and values among students.
The Deputy Minister, Dr. Kadijatu A.G. Kamara, emphasized the importance of teaching children about their traditions to prepare them for the future.
The Acting Principal, Mrs. Williams, praised the effort, encouraging student participation.
The event included cultural performances from the Scripture Union, Marie V Entertainment, and artist Alieu Melody, with students expressing pride in the initiative.
