Police in the Bo West Division arrested a suspect on Monday, December 8, 2025, and seized a large quantity of illegal drugs during an intelligence-led operation.

The operation was led by Chief Superintendent of Police Augustine Kabia, the Local Unit Commander. Acting on intelligence, officers intercepted a vehicle with registration number AUH 390 in the New London area.

The suspect, identified only as “Junior,” was taken into custody. A subsequent search of the vehicle uncovered 37 wraps, each containing 10 cards of 250mg Tramadol tablets. Officers also discovered 12 black parcels of the cannabis-based drug known as “Kush.”

Both the suspect and the seized narcotics have been transferred to the Transnational Organized Crime Unit (TOCU) South for further investigation and prosecution.
