Food Items Destroyed as Truck Capsizes at Masiaka Tollgate

A truck laden with food supplies overturned at the Masiaka Tollgate on Monday, August 12, 2024.

A video circulating on social media shows the truck lying on its side just a few meters from the tollgate attendant’s booth. While the accident did not result in any casualties, some of the food items on board were damaged.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.

Eyewitnesses have expressed concerns about the potential for a more severe incident had there been vehicles waiting to pay the toll free at the time of the accident.

Authorities are currently working to clear the scene and assess the extent of the damage.
